Account Manager

We’re searching for a hungry, organized, and hard-charging account manager who can multi task while building relationships with our clients to tell their brand story to the world. You need to be a self-motivated leader who can handle a diverse workload. You should be a team player who fits into our fun, energetic shop with a bunch of nice people.

You will be involved in the process of writing press releases, blogs and email pitches to media to persuade reporters to cover our clients. You must be aggressive, but polite, and develop relationships with CEOs, marketing managers and sales leaders from a wide range of clients, primarily in the world of franchising. You will be the key to shaping our clients’ reputations and will manage their press coverage, media outreach, and often online content and social media platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College graduates with relevant degrees in the marketing or arts, communications and PR focus are desirable. However, a lack of deep qualifications is not necessarily a barrier to entry if you can demonstrate strong interpersonal, writing and project management skills; a creative flair; and an interest in the current media and content marketing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the needs of clients and their accounts
  • Communicate daily with clients and key media contacts
  • Develop industry, sector and product-focused content marketing and PR campaigns
  • Contribute to daily meetings, communicating priorities and updating clients on all content marketing and PR activities
  • Be involved in the process of writing press releases, blogs and email media pitches
  • Stay aware of current content marketing and PR trends and tools
  • Build client relationships and maintain a network of media contacts
  • Spearhead both traditional PR and social media/content creation projects
  • Develop news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s brand
  • Fulfill the client’s key performance indicators and growing accounts
  • Track all media coverage and create reports to showcase campaign success
  • Work with our social media team to manage digital outreach across all platforms

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Account management role at a marketing agency (PR, Digital, Social Media)
  • Agency or media experience is preferred, but not required
  • Evidence of marketing, reporting, social media, and client liaison skills
  • Journalism background (TV news or print)
  • Media industry knowledge and contacts are beneficial
